Wondering if any of you guys can help me. I've parted this on other forums and got some info, but seems like this is a rare one. Anyone here can help?

I am supposed to be meeting up with someone to buy what I think is an ESP Mirage I (doesn't have much of a description on craigslist). He says is usa made and wants $300 for it. Seems like a good deal...anyone know how much they usually cost? Supposedly its in excellent condition and looks new. I can't find much info on it. Looks like it COULD be a 48st custom. The guy said its made in usa.

Looks legit, but I'm not expert on the 48th st customs.

Thats a steal on that guitar for $300.

Neck alone is worth quite a bit.

Yeah he sent additional pictures...Looks like these still for over $1k though!

Snag it man. Those old ESP's play awesome. Way better guitar then what your paying for todays imports.
Snooze and lose. ;)

Hmm...doesn't have the made in Japan stamp on the back of the head and moo lettering on the timing keys...Thoughts?

I posted on sevenstring.org

Its a 1987 M1 Deluxe and came in a few different color options, cherry sunburst being one of them. Its Japanese made.

$300 is a nice price for it. Older ESPs really have a terrible resale value. They're great guitars, so that's good for us buyers, but not good when you want to sell one!

Since it has a quilted top maybe $800 if its in mint condition, but realistically $500-$700.
