I have been wanting one of these for years and finally found one. I apologize for all the New gear days...I'm sure you guys are sick of it. This will be it for a while.....I promise.

Plays great but I think I will put an original Floyd Rose on it soon. Emg 81, neck thru, rosewood board. Minimal fretwear and a few dings, scratches hear and there.

The color is more of a wine red than the pics show. The rear shot shows the best idea of the color.

Very happy with this one. ESP makes some great guitars. Thanks for checkin it out.

Niiice, i had an MII with maple board a while ago, nice feels to them.

Man, what`s up with your master on the Peters for christ sakes!!!!!!!!! 2 o`clock, that`s LOUD.....

What tubes are you running?

Chris

Forgot to ask something. Did you try running your cab off the ISP, on the ground?

I find the cab sounds like crap sitting on the sub, i think the bass definition from the cab gets lost somehow.

Just wondering if i was going def or something...

Chris

ESP's are, in my opinion, the best MIJ's out there... I am still blown away with the level of quality and workmanship of the 2 I currently own and love to play.

Slick, fast, wickedly built, awesome feel, zero issues, brilliant axes... Congrats man!! Nice ax!!

V.

Haha, thanks Chris. I Am running Gold Lion KT77's in the Peters and it's unreal. Love what those tubes did to the Hydra. I highly recommend. Yeah, I play really loud. My neighbors love me. I usually won't stand in front of either wall of sound. Off to the side is great.

I just tried that last week and it got lost in the mix. It sounds great when both cabs are on the floor when I am playing by myself but add drums and it's too much bass and gets burried. So, I barely made it through a practice with them on the floor. Went back to stacking them. It cuts through best that way. If I only played alone then I would have the cabs on the floor.
...................and yes, you are going def. :D

Thanks V! I have to agree with the quality of these guitars. Neck is straight as an arrow and plays like a dream. I can see it going head to head against my USA Jackson for the number one player spot.

I`ll have to try out those KT-77`s, quite expensive though. Did you ever try the JJ ones? More than half price...

God damn, i just figured i have a set of JJ KT-77`s here, i`ll have to dust them out and try`em.

And i`ll try it with the band with the cab stacked to see if it`s better for me that way.

Thanks,

Chris

Congratulations man it looks awesome...
No doubt that thing will kill any of their chinese/korean parts guitars they slap together in Japan these days..

I havent played one those since they had the active boost switch, Unless who ever had that added the tone knob in place of the switch..

Chris, the JJ can't hold a candle to the Gold lions. I have had many quads of the JJ KT77 and have always been too cheap to try the Gold lion77 for fear of them sounding close to the same. The lions kill the JJ in the right amp, IMO.

Good luck trying the stacked thing, it works out better for me. ................Or maybe I'm the def one.

Gold Lion/Genalex KT77's slay all other KT77's regardless of the amp IMHO :D

Funny thing is....I thought my Herbert sounds better with at least 4 SED =C= EL34's and 2 KT88's. I tried the Gold Lion Kt77 in the Herbie and it seemed to like the 34's better, to my ears anyway. But totally agree that the Gold Lion KT77 slay in everything else I have put them in. The Diezel is it's own beast I guess.

Damn that blue is sexy. Looks like you are right about the boost sir.

Hey, is there any mention of the nut specs anywhere (string spacing, neck radius ect)? Since I am replacing to a Floyd and a new nut comes with new Floyd's, I would like to order the right one.

Every ESP I have ever owned came with a 1 5/8" R2 Nut

There is actually more room on the neck 43mm I think but never personally tried putting a 1 11/16" nut on one

Cool, thanks man. I had it apart last night cleaning/restringing. I took the nut off to see if one of my R3's would work and it was not even close. The width was fine but the mounting holes were closer to the fretboard than the holes on the neck. WTF? That seems really strange to me. Also the radius of the R3 was way off of what is on there. String spacing was tighter too. Idk if this nut is stock or not but it would be nice if when I ordered this floyd I receive the right one.

Yeh I dunno dude,
But looking at your tremolo it has a Synclear Tremolo so I dont know if the nuts where the same as floyds but it still has to probably be 1 5/8"
