Apple may have proof of delivery. If not, those devices phone home over the internet and/or cellular networks. Apple may eventually realize they've fulfilled an order for which they've not received payment, and the order was placed on your account using a payment method you'd used before, and which shipped to your address. They'll send you a bill and then turn it over for collections.
Good to know, makes it apparent why they aren't trying to get it back. I'll just throw it in the car and take it to an Apple store when convenient. It's been over 2 months so another few days won't matter.

Dont take the scary bait.

It's been 2 months????

Apple is not concerned about the iPad they have already written off. But hey whatever you want to do is your choice.

I can see it now. The year is 2027 and the new inventory manager of apple's ipad verification department says wait a minute AHA. Got you, you little bastard.

Maybe they are hoping you will open it, at which time... you own it and they can legitimately charge you for the Ipad.

^Yup, that's what I meant by apparent. Seems about par for them. Fuckers. :codeak:

If the iPad has cellular capability it's likely been marked as stolen, and will flag as soon as you boot it the first time.

Don't give into the temptation. Just return it. If you take it to a local store be SURE to get a receipt.

Wow!!! You guys are over-thinking this thing. No one cares about that stupid iPad anymore. Shit like this has happen to me and they would rather not deal with it. Whoever shipped it doesn't want it back or even cares about it anymore, it has been written off, trust me, like I said, this happens and happens every day.

Take it to an apple store. Get a receipt from them stating that they received it from you. Move on.

Good idea! Take it to the store rather than deal with the shipping, etc.
