Eventide H9 Vs. Pitchfactor?

Are these things equal in terms of the 910/949 and micropitch?

It was my understanding that the algorithms are the same for each - just that the H9 allowed you to buy settings from the other 'factor' pedals.

Is this right?

I am intersted s well since I have an H9 core in the mail that I acquired in trade

im interested to as i have one arriving today to replace my axe fx in my effects loop ( pain in the ass to set patch levels) i only use pitch and or delay. hoping i can maybe just use the h9 without any other pedals

I think so, but you don't get the H3000 micropitchshift in the H9 and that is the best sounding algorithm for that - it's all I use the PitchFactor for...

Sure but for $20 you can get it as an "in-app" purchase.

Are you sure about that? I thought that was one of the things you couldn't get in the H9. Where are you seeing the list of the algorithms/presets you can buy? I can't find it...

steve are you using the micropitch for your w/d/w van halen balance tone? i ordered this after hearing the 1984 preset on a demo, heard that and i was happier than finding out it was half price night at whore house

Yes, and it is just perfect for that. It sounds identical to my old H3000 D/SX...

From the eventide site... not sure it's the same as H3000 version, but I dunno why it wouldn't be:

MicroPitch – [MICRO]
Fine-resolution pitch shifter for subtle tone-fattening plus delays for interesting slap back effects.
Mix -– [MIX]: wet/dry mixer, 100% is all wet signal.
Pitch A/Pitch B Mix – [PICHMX]: Controls the ratio of the level of Pitch A to Pitch B.
Pitch Shift Up A – [PICH-A]: Controls the amount of pitch shift up for voice A from Unison to
+50 cents.
Pitch Shift Down B – [PICH-B]: Controls the amount of pitch shift down for voice B from Unison
to -50 cents.
Delay A – [DLY-A]: Controls the amount of time delay of the A pitch-shifted output. With Tempo
OFF, delay is displayed in mSec. With Tempo ON, delay can be sync’d to the tempo and is
displayed as a rhythmic sub-division of the tempo beat value.
Delay B – [DLY-B]: Controls the amount of time delay of the B pitch-shifted output. With Tempo
OFF, delay is displayed in mSec. With Tempo ON, delay can be sync’d to the tempo and is
displayed as a rhythmic sub-division of the tempo beat value.
Modulation Depth – [M-DPTH]: Controls the amount (or depth) of pitch modulation displayed in
cents over a four octave range (two octaves down, two octaves up). Fine control for micro-pitch
modulation is available and displayed in cents, ranging from -30 to +30 cents. When the
modulation is a positive value the two voices will modulate in sync with each other; when the value
is negative they will modulate out of sync.
Modulation Rate – [M-RATE]: Controls the modulation rate.
Feedback – [FEEDBK]: Controls the amount of feedback for Delays A and B.
Tone Control – [TONE]: Controls the tone filter.
Performance Switch/FLEX - Doubles the pitch shift amount of both voices

H9 is a pretty bad ass pedal. The only algo it can't do is the looper and from what I've read, because of hardware limitations they won't be able to come up with one that you can purchase/upload. Everything else is on available and sound ridiculously good. They have been releasing new algos unavailable on their other factor pedals like a compressor most recently. It was free when they first released it but now it goes for $20.

I hear some people say that the H9 sounds better than the Factors when running the same algorithms, but I haven´t had the chance to try it myself. The micropitch is definitely available, but not included.

910/949 is included though right?

Am I right to say that 910/949 is more 1984, and micropitch is like Balance?

I am looking in the app on my iPhone. It's listed as one you can buy.

So it says H3000, not just mircropitchshift? If so, that's cool!

There are different micros - the 910/949 could do that too, but different algorithms - they sound different.

2nd statement on 1984 vs. F.U.C.K./Balance is correct... first I don't know about...
