I have an Eventide Timefactor that I have had on my pedalboard for the past 4-5 years. Never had an issue until the last couple of gigs where it would randomly power off then back on. One gig it happened constantly, the other only once near the end of the set. Would anyone happen to know what I should be looking into?

I run it with a PPII, L6 using the dip switch

The power cable has an intermittent break, maybe? Might not be the Timefactor at all.

I agree that it sounds like a power supply issue. are you using the one from Eventide or a something else?

PPII but I have the original Eventide power supply. Ill swap out the cable and give it a shot.

Thanks!

I believe you need the Voltage Doubling Cable and Current Doubler Adapter, that's what I use with my Timefactor and the PP2, call the guys at Voodoo labs they're pretty helpful

Thanks, Ill ask. I've been running it this way for years and never had any problems, but worth finding out for sure.

yeah, you need the doubler cable. Plug in across pins 5 and 6 and flip the dip switch. Or you could plug the TimeFactor AC adapter into a power bar or the wall to test and see if the problem goes away.
