Ever get a small refund for a Reverb item? Warped Neck

I just bought a guitar off reverb, everything seemed okie dokie and fine.. I look and see the top mounted floyd is nearly 1/4" up off the guitar, the neck has no bow in it what-so-ever. I adjust the truss rod and it becomes completely loose. Take a straight edge to the neck and there's a slight hump in the center of the neck.

Thinking about sending it to www.warpedneck.com, but maybe I can get a small refund from the seller to cover this fee? I'm on the fence if I even want to do this. I kind of want to return it. Anyone have a situation like this?

That sucks man.

The only experience I've had as a seller was for small change on a pickup.

He pointed out the issue that I was unaware of and I offered to refund and he returns or partial refund. I ended up refunding half the money and got good feedback.

Imo if he is honest and/or cares about his rep and seller profile he will work it out with you.

Is it a two way truss rod? If so keep turning it counter clockwise until it starts pushing the neck forward and see if it adds a little relief

It's a Caparison Horus M3, I believe it's single action. When I turned it counter clockwise, it gave a huge bump in the middle.

I bought a J FROG years back off eBay. Got it. The neck was twisted slightly.
Took it to my guy that I have work on my stuff. He sent the neck out to get plecked.
Came back everything level. Sold it the next week cause it sounded like shit.

Called up WarpedNeck.com, seems like a really good guy. We chatted for a bit and he told me this specific problem is more complicated to fix. It would cost $125 for the fix and $25 return shipping if I only sent the neck. So total cost of around $175-200 depending on how much shipping for me and him will be. For a guitar I spent nearly $2k on, I think I should just return it and look for another one that isn't fucked up.
