Ever play in open "G" tuning ?

Found this video earlier this year. Had my acoustic tuned to open "G" the last 6 months which is what Allman is playing here.

It's a really cool way to play, can come up with all kinna stuff.

I've used open G quite often. My last touring guitar tech gig, one of my guys had two of his guitars tuned to open G and he played flatwounds. Feels and sounds great.

Yeah, it's great to learn a few Stones songs in open G and jam along. Black Crowes use it quite a bit too!

Buckcherry's Lit up is in open G, just as almost all Stones.
Keef cannot hold a regular chord. Did you see his hands lately. Scary.

I always have a tele tuned to open G around. More songs are in open G than most realize or, more than I realized at one time. Many Bad Co. tunes are in open G
