I know there have been some past discussions about this but has anyone recently tried out / have any opinions on Evertune Bridges? Some buddies of mine are singing their praises and I am intrigued but skeptical that they really are as good as they're making them out to be.

I was planning on using one on my latest build with TT frets for an amazing combo, until I read there was about 6 hours worth of routing to do. I passed as a result.

Short answer is believe the hype. The difference in tone is negligible for the tuning benefits especially if you are recording.

One of my favorite bands uses these....on their Gibson's which requires routing the shit out of it and it looks terrible on a classic guitar like a Les Paul or SG. They now tune their guitars once a week I think.

Takes a bit of getting used to, but I spend much more time playing and enjoying my Evertune guitar than fucking around with the tuning like my others, even the Floyd ones.

I don't think I would route an existing guitar I have (especially a classic style guitar), better to get a guitar with one already one in it. For example, those new ESP LTDs with the Evertune. The Les Paul style EC1000ET was awesome when I tried it in store (the one with passive pickups).
