Seriously, sounds great. Needs to be cranked more though to get it to crunch, what are the levels at?

Nice chugg going on.

Clean sounded good too.

I returned mine cause it had too much gain!!!! I liked my original better, especially the blue. The red was great on the S though.

It wasn't too loud. I didn't want the cam mic to distort.
The gain on the red channel is either on, or off. At least almost
I guess i will keep my mini and send the S back.

Did you try it cranked at least around 10 o`clock? It gets better at those levels.

I hear you on the gain being either on or off, the clean especially. The blue, for me, became to much like the red, it didn`t sound bad by any means, but it didn`t have the crunch the original has, witch is what i love about the blue channel.

The red had way too much gain man, like crazy too much. Sounded maybe a little clearer than the one on the original but but not by much, with my KK EQ a can get it to sound clearer so it was pointless for me to keep it.

Ever hear a Rhodes Gemini?

The blue is very much like the red one, except the extra gain. Red is a bit more compressed, also.
I compared my 2010 Recto side by side with the S and and felt in love with it again (man, this sounds pathetic)
I didn't try a Rhodes yet. They are not available here in Germany afaik.
But i have a Mesa, my modded 2203KK and i will leave the mini in my home-studio.
Mesa, Marshall, Fender and you are done
I sure will try some of the new Randalls and the Diezel Lil Fokker.

i don't like the sounds in the original post, sorry.. sounds bitey, trebbly, harsh.. thin... quite the opposite of my standard old 5150III.. I think the reason is the EMG 81 pickup.. at least based on my experience, the EVH just likes medium/hot outpt pickups on the alnico side of spectrum (I've tried at least 7 different, active, ceramic, alnico ranging from 9-22k )

No problem! That's just how it sounds with this setup, through the cam mic in the room
I will keep the 81, but send the amp back

bought a friedman be100 and that amp just kills!
