These amps do have gain knobs. Blue too high gain? Roll it back to noon....
Hey.....hey....HEY!!
Lets not get crazy talking here. :gethim:

Some people say the same with the Stealth that its too much gain.
I just dial it back a bit. Problem solved. ;)

Is this a no logic zone? :D

An amp can never have too much gain! But said gain can be voiced in a way one doesn't like. That's an argument I can understand. You with me, bro?
Oh yeah....feeling you loud and clear...and in public. :D
Voice will do it. I dont like the way VHT amps are voiced. Heavy gain....light gain....just not for me.

Testify, bro!

Got mine yesterday. This little thing rips and sounds great thru each cabinet that I have! Unlike the 50 and the 100 watter (5153), which, IMHO sound best thru their respective cabinets.
It cleans up nicely when turning down the guitar volume and using the neck and/or neck/bridge PU together with the gain at about 9-10 o'clock.

Do you feel that tube push and break-up at lower volumes; as described in the review? Just curious....a lot of my imagery, and perception with tube amps is the break-up that only comes with volume, and then of course, the movement of air across the cones. and that can only come with volume.

When the time (funds :aww: ) is right, i'll have one regardless.

Both at full power and at 1/4 power the break-up occurs at lower volumes, so I would agree with the review. It's a pretty damn loud little amp, and sounds great the my EVH 4x12.

I'm interested in how it sounds with your Bogner cube? That would be the combo I am looking at....

Let me know when you get a chance!

Would this little guy be loud enough with a band in a small club?

I have a Scumback BM75 65W 16ohm speaker in the cube (it came with a V30) and it sounds great with it. The feet on the amp aren't tall enough to sit on top of the cube since the cubes handle is pretty thick so you'll have to prop the amp up with something under each foot.

I think it would be loud enough (1x12) with a band in a small club but I can't say with 100% certainty.

I just drove a 4x12 loaded with V30s with it (SHAME cab pictured below…Marshall 1983B cabinet) and it was loud as hell for what it is..…roars like a muuuug! You can't turn the gain past 11 o'clock though with the volume on full without the amp being really really noisy….my Decimator 2 G-String shuts it up completely (it's in the loop and in front of my guitar).

So how do you have a 2 channel amp and 1 volume knob? As well as 1 gain knob? I understand the tone stack sharing in an amp this size, 2 channels sharing the same volume.Am I missing something?

Any updated reviews on this thing? Looking at possibly pick him up a near new used one.
