When in the last 10 years HASN'T VH been a joke ? Ed AND the band. More of the same from an out of place once brilliant guitar god that doesn't know which end is up any more. Go back to drinking and druggin'...it did you good.

ummm...last year? What about the last album? ADKOT is, IMO, the best thing EVH could have done.

The best thing EVH and Co. could have done was get Mike back in the band, end all the DRAMA, have the reunion that SHOULD have happened with all four original guys instead of having Wolfie up there...no knock on his abilities either, it's just not kosher IMO.

I'm not a big fan of the album either...

...and for someone that was once so anti-establishment gear wise, he sure puts his name on an awful lot of shit. If 'ya can sell albums, sell gear I guess. I'm not against the guy making money, but it flies in the face of his old days DIY ethic that was so simple and brilliant. I really am an Ed fan, just not for a long time lately...

This statement would hold water if the gear he was putting out was actual "shit". EVH branded gear is good quality sounding stuff. Putting his name on an established Bugera would be another story. He and Fender hit it out of the park with the EVH amps, the MXR pedals are top notch, Wolfgang guitars are one of the best quality new instruments on the market today (puts Gibson to shame) and at a very good pricepoint (especially the amps). I think EVH makes many very good gear decisions (business wise, sonically, and quality) in the grand scheme of things.

Also, rock music in general is not selling albums in the modern market. If Women and Children First came out today it wouldn't even make the charts. This isn't at the fault of Eddie or the band. Just a sign of the times.

I'll agree with you about the quality of the amps and guitars...I don't personally LIKE the guitars, but I think they're well made and a value for the $....the MXR stuff I don't agree with you on at all...the EVH phase 90 doesn't sound as good to me as an original , a DOD 401, or the new Whirlwind orange box phaser...which is the true heir to the phaser throne IMO. The flanger is cool for the fact that it has the EVH switch to instantly do Unchained without messing with the knobs, but it doesn't sound as good as my original grey corded one, and how many different wah permutations do we really need from Dunlop ? Slash, Dime, Zakk, Bonamassa, EVH etc...Jesus! EVH never even used a wah until FUCK , and as far as I know, Dave doesn't sing Sammy, so why is a wah on his board ?

And EVH 20 watt Celestions ? Didn't he ACTUALLY use 25 watt greenbacks for most of his career ? Slap red white and black on it and it'll sell !
