Are these necks similar in thickness and playability or are there distinct differences between them?

The Ernie Balls have an asymmetrical neck. Not sure about the EVH necks in that regard.

Both are asymmetrical. My EBMM got a neck that is smaller at the nut, but with more depth.
The Wolfgang feels a bit wider at the nut, but with slimmer depth.
The Wolfgang neck is my all time favorite, including all EVH series guitars, vintage and or modern guitars.
I can play this guitar for hours and not feel even a bit of fatigue.

Me too, i have the EBMM EVH, the Peavey and the EVH Wolfgang. They all feel similar and i dig them very much, just the perfect feel for me, and Eddie of course........

Oh and i guess you like them too

My Axis has been my go to guitar since 04. I recently just got an Fender EVH stealth HT Special MIJ and I have to say it's quickly becoming my favorite. I wish I had the real deal USA Stealth with a floyd, but as far as the necks there really isnt a comparison. The EVH is flatter and thinner on the back. The ebmm is rounder on both sides...very comfy, but seems not as easy to play as the EVH. Maybe its the vintage ss frets on the EVH that contributes to it playing so easily, idk

The tone of the Axis is better imo though. A bit more beefy

im gonna have to disagree with you on that one.. i have all 3 and the EVH one is the thinnest, the peavey and musicman are similar but the peavey is much thicker and wider,. they honestly are all amazing guitars.

Yeah i know the EVH is a bit flatter but in essence, they feel similar. I meant lime it aint a LP a d an Ibanez difference. There in the same feeling zone.

But yeah, they are amazing guitars.
