Ya I agree. Price is rediculous.

Buy an new ivory one and leave in my kids room for a week. It'll make that one look like a museum peice. :D

For $4k you can buy the best of the best EBMM EVH and still have some cash left over. No Wolf will ever be as special as those EBMMs. Flame away.

At least it doesnt have the breakdancing stripe paint job

I like the new special in drab green. It's only $999 vs $14K.

I like the guitar also. But wouldn't go over 2k for one.

They've only made 20 of these total. They will find 20 folks worldwide who will pony up the cash for this VH exclusive tour guitar replica.

It's not marketed to the average working class Joe......

I think you fellas dont understand the point.. its just marketing and its working perfectly all of you went to the site to check out how outrageous the price is.

Not any different from another manufacture. remember the prs dragon?

I for one cannot stand relics, or the whole market that they've become. It's so fake. Let me pay more for a brand new guitar that someone at the factory took a disc sander to and a couple of well placed chisels. Meh!! It reeks of being a poser. I can't believe that Eddie actually commissioned them to build him one for the tour. I understand necks feeling worn in, but they could do that on a fresh body. It's a guitar, you can either play it or can't. Putting a sticker on it or scrapping some paint doesn't make you cooler or a better player, just lame if it's intentional.

Any way, rant over.

You're wrong......relics done properly are awesome

I scored a Peavey Wolfgang Archtop in tobacco super cheap around 1999. I said hey, I'll play the crap out of it and it will relic and I'll have the only relic Wolfgang. These things cost too much for anyone else to treat it as bad as I'm going to. Never sees a case unless it's to travel. Gigged with it. Played the crap out of it. Only thing that looks relic'd is the bridge pickup. It's got some rust on it. There's not a scratch on the rest of the guitar! Of course I scratch my black one with the polishing cloth. The one I want to keep new looking and lives in its case under my bed. So I like relic guitars done right. Some are cheesey looking I'll admit. Like some Fender and ESP LTD relics I've seen.

Side not I recently played a 2013 LP Standard with a very nice highly figured flame top and my trusty Wolfgang back to back. Peavey was better in every way, which was a total suprise to me. It felt more like a quality instrument and the Gibson felt like a toy with a plastic neck/fretboard. I would have bet money it would have been the other way around. Close tone wise too. I liked the Peavey growl a little better. And yes, I'm biased.

If someone has an EVH guitar they want the sh*t beat out of I will do it for under $10K.

I am on your side with this issue and have been since wanting a really good retro san dimas
to go with my old 81 original.
well charvel made one that was perfect in every way EXCEPT they make them all relic'd :( tell me this was not lame, to just put a wear mark where you arm rest's and the a gash on the back and the rest is normal

Used to sell those in the 90's. Those are very solid, good sounding guitars. Couldn't gell with the small neck. I liked the pickups they developed for those.
