EVH solo Los Angeles Forum February 8, 2012

EVH is one of my favorite players of all time. He and John Sykes are the reasons why I didn't quit guitar many years ago.
I can't tell you how sick to my stomach I was when I saw Ed deteriorating in front of my eyes a few years back and I only hoped that he would get it together and get well.

This video has put the smile back on my face and it's great to see Ed again. What's even better is that if he keeps it together it's only going to get better since this is the first leg of the tour.

Wow....... just wow. It makes me so happy to see one of my hero's make such a great turn around. I venture to say he hasn't played like that in a very very long time.

Thanks for posting. That was a great start to my day.

they really do look to be having a great time. I'll admit VH was a bit before my time... I think my intro to VH as a guitar player was "Poundcake" when I was in junior high...But I've always dug Ed's tones and playing (and his amps, haha). But if Ed is truly clean for the long haul, it makes me happy. For now, it's nice to see a classic band finally getting it back together, locking in and having fun.

I was there...(went with Lynch interestingly enough).
They were GREAT!!!....Band was ON!!....There tour is gonna do VERY VERY WELL, as they're really firing on all cylinders!

Friggin awesome! So glad to see Ed at it again and sounding great!

Hope they throw "Unchained" in the set eventually :D
