It looks like only the Wolfgang USA still has stainless steel frets. The special and the standard only have "jumbo" frets. Didn't the Japanese made Wolfgang used to have stainless steel frets too?

I have a special with the ebony board and stainless frets. Not sure when it was made though or if it's still made with stainless frets. They're definitely the way to go though.

I think they abruptly stopped the Japanese Wolfgangs, then made them in China for a short time (still had stainless frets), then started making in Mexico. If I'm not mistaken, the very first Mexican made Wolfgangs had stainless steel frets too. Now only the USA made Wolfgangs do it appears.
