I had a Peavey Wolfgang years ago and sold it. I’m gonna buy a EVH version. The Standard is cheaper, made in Asia but it has tummy and forearm cuts which I would appreciate as I am usually playing strats. For instance when I do long sessions on one of my LP’s I feel it on my right forearm from the sharp body edge. Standard also has baked maple neck which is a plus IMO. $699 new.
The Special is about $300-$400 more but I am guessing better quality. No forearm
or belly cut and arched top. Also does not have baked maple neck. Does include D-Tuna which Standard does not, but easily added.
Mi don’t know - they have similar specs except what I have mentioned. Finishes are mostly the same as well. $999 new
