Hey Dave, I was reading in an older issue of Guitar World and it said you built Ed's rig for the last tour with Dave. Do you have any pictures of that build? Just curious...Thanks.

Here you go.

Well besides the cord there is a little plate at the front so when the wah will never move forward when using it hard. Also he rests his foot on it sometimes.

A very nice post stramm8. Thank you Dave for the pictures.

Yes.....thanks for the pics Dave. It don't get much bigger than that! But then again Lynch and EVH are gods to me so there ya go!

like I said on another post, dave is a guitar tone national treasure!

Besides working with legends, he was also instrumental in shaping the tone of amps like Egnater, Blankenship, naylor?, and the latest collaboration with rockstah is bringing the most accurate brown sound to date to the masses.
i visited his shop over a decade ago for some rack consultation and to check out the original egnater tol line when he was the west coast rep, and he was super cool and helpful and i even met steve lukather there!

Dave did some Randall mods for me and I mentioned I wanted a real EVH amp. He said, if you want EVH, I'm the guy. I didn't know he even worked with EVH directly. That was back in 2007. Anyway, it was a long time coming, but I recently got the amp. I don't think it's like any of his known mods. He ended up putting "Blankenship" on the head cab, and the chassis is a Blankenship Custom 45. In any event, very happy with it, and extra happy because it's clear no one would really know how to do an EVH amp better than Dave.

Anyone know if those EVH heads used live are stock?

SDE-3000s

I have an SDE-330 and a 2290.

Am I missing anything without the SDE-3000?

Should I seek one?

How does the 330 compare with the 3000?

how about the 1000/2000/2500 compared with the 3000?

from what i read the 3000 has a +4 db boost (good for the AC30,again from what I read) and has a warmth to it, and that is why Edge of U2 uses it. I think because Eddie,Edge and a few others uses it that it makes it more desirable for people into playing U2,Halen songs. I had an Ibanez DM1100 that had a great warm delay to it but someone wanted it more than I did and paid more than what I did, so now I miss it. Also had the Ibanez DM2000 and it sounded more digital and sterile. For the Value I really liked the DM1100 and would get it again. If you like ur delay hold on to it. I have the TC2290 and G sysytem so I am happy. Do a Google search comparing them if you need to know. Hope that helped some.

How about an SDD-3300, love mine, stupidly complicated but awesome performance!

I was refering to the Korg SDD3000 and it has 10db of boost not 4db. Sorry about that.

Dave,
Just curious--are Eddie's phase, flange and chorus in the fx loop or in front of the amp(s)?

Thanks!
