do the bias points measure bias voltage (negative) or bias current?

if its bias current i'm jealous because im working on a schematic at the moment to do that very thing lol

awsome amplifier - cant wait for xmas soundclips :D

Please start a thread on this amp over at Plexi Palace. I can smell the popcorn cooking. :D That amp looks like lots of fun btw.

Pretty sure those points measure the Bias current. Its either the current reading in mA, or the same reading but in mV (like the 1ohm resistor method would read in mV).

Mike told me the same thing about the Hulk that he may stop offering that mod due to the sheer amount of work, Jason has a rare piece now.

Jason, I will you could have brought that amp to the Austin fest to blow people's minds.

Dude...I can't WAIT to hear this thing!

If you want me to babysit it for you while you're gone...just give me the word. I'll take it to ampfest for ya in your honor...what say you?

Love the orange headshell...and I'd love to hear this thing in action!

The actual external modding looks bad IMO...the knob placement (the black ones) and labels just don't look good to me. That said, I'm all about function over form so if it does what it its supposed to, then the aesthetics wouldn't be a deal breaker for me.

Granted I am a fan of Mike's work but this also goes for other modders that punch holes................I dont give a crap if the headshell was made from a WWII radio chassis and was olive drab :)

If one wants a living room piece and has the funds I am sure you could create a new chassis front.

Mike told me that he's done with the Hulk Mods. I suppose he's focusing on the Natas and doesn't want to make to many more amps sound like the one he's building.

I know he's still doing the Cali "I'm sticking to single channel Marshalls or Metro Kit amps."

Hope you don't mind me quoting you, Mike.

I hope that Marshall destroys, dude. Enjoy it.

He didn't tell me that but he did say he wasn't ever going to do one again in a Superlead chassis as the size difference makes it very difficult to get the work done. That being said, I know his amp line is about to take off like crazy so he very well could be slowing down on mods soon. :dunno:

Just to clarify, I don't want to do another Hulk mod in a 1959SLP style chassis. Jason's with be the only one in that format  I am still doing the Hulk mod but I would prefer to only do it to a JCM800 2203 vertical input, the older the better. I am also considering dropping the Hulk mod when the Natas is release since the Hulk mod is really more of a rebuild than a mod ;)
As for the Cali mod, I prefer the single channel Marshalls and Metro Kit amps, 50w or 100w formats.
Cheers,
Mike
