EVM 12L vs Celestion Vintage 30 EVH 5150 III 50 Watt

Which speaker do you prefer? I used both red and blue channels with the volume around 8:30 and 9:00

The gain was about 50 percent on both channels

It's hard to really tell with the camera as the sound source, but I preferred the EV's though they were a bit dark. The v30's sounded a bit to harsh to my ears with this tone. Actually, both could sound nice together.

Gah, I take that back, the v30s sound pretty damn good too. I think I'd like the EV's with the treble a bit higher

Both sound good but I think I prefer the EVM. The 30's have a bit more sizzle but I like the overall tone better on the EVM.

EV just because the tone is not as harsh as the V30, BUT this is solo playing, in a band cintext it may be a different story
