There is truly nothing funnier than conservative Americans quoting Sky News in Australia.

I respectfully ask you how you can be completely oblivious to what this Heynis evil woman is SAYING about wilfully infecting people with a virus on a monumental scale?

It’s a video bro, who the hell cares where it came from? It’s the video ‘CONTENT’… Not right, Not left.
Why does everything turn into a right / left conflict?
No offence but it’s always the same side turning any truth into a right / left deal.

Because it's bullshit political spin pushed by Sky News (Murdoch owned) which is a conservative media outlet which purposefully twists and misrepresents news.
That woman is Queensland's Chief Health Officer Jeanette Young. She is NOT saying they will be purposefully releasing Covid 19 into the community.
She IS saying that when Queensland's borders are reopened, it is INEVITABLE that the virus will come into the community via people who are carrying it, either they are unvaccinated, or are vaccinated and, despite not showing the symptoms, can still transmit Covid 19 to more vulnerable people in the community.
Therefore, the best course of action, is to be vaccinated, because the virus will still manage to get in.

Do you honestly think Australian's would tolerate someone purposefully releasing Covid into their local community? "Tyrants Promising to flood..." Insanity.

Here is the actual truth of what is being reported in that Sky News piece:

www.sbs.com.au/news/unvaccinated-queenslanders-urged-to-act-ahead-of-state-reopening-borders/1b70f967-247b-47e5-877b-8b3645a91a12

(Imagine if the message was don't drink and drive because people can die. Take precautions around alcohol and driving. What you and Sky News are twisting it to say is, the Government is saying everyone should go and drive while drunk. It's just fucking hilarious.)

Sometimes I wonder who is more stupid - People who work for Murdoch's media, or the idiots who read/listen to it AND THEN believe it

LOL. What a clowntear. ?

References SBS which is 80% funded by the Australian Government ?
Thanks Prawn...

Perhaps you'd like the exact same article from Australian Community Media?

It's one thing to be stupid, and then be educated and improve.
It's another to get that same education and then wind up stupider than when you started.
Have a guess which category you're in...

When she said, "... we will be bringing in the virus...", she meant Australian interstate travellers.

I don't generally comment on anything political, but I make occasional exceptions when it comes to the Aussie (my local) experience of the COVID situation.

I watched her press conference live the other day and I'm certain that's what she meant.

She admits that vaccinated people still carry the virus and transmit it. So once the borders are open those vaccinated people who are allowed to travel will obviously be spreading it. Their solution is get vaccinated because you are "unlikely" to be hospitalized.

Well, yes that is exactly what she is saying. And yes, vaccinated people can still carry and transmit the virus.

… that in itself is a first in the history of mankind. A vaccine that doesn’t stop the spread of a virus.
And I’m sure somebody will pop up and say, “yeah, but you don’t get the symptoms that you would without the vaccine”… Horseshit.
Tell that to the 75% of the people that are in the hospital ER’s in my area who are fully vaccinated…
Yes, 3 outta 4 in hospital ER’s here are fully vaccinated.
Tell them?
I wonder who Israel will blame when they get up to 99% vaccinated… “That 1% unvaccinated is infecting the whole country”!
It’s so far-fetched, you just have to shake your head.
Absolutely f’n outrageous.

SQUAREHEAD asked me to delete the thread 'cause he realises he was mislead, but I'm gonna change the title and leave it be.

We prefer not to delete threads except in rare circumstances and this one can now serve a new purpose anyway.

Indeed brother.

Guys, SQUAREHEAD genuinely felt bad about being mislead and possibly, in turn, affecting others the same way. He's a standup guy and they don't come any more honest than him.

He graciously "allowed" me to keep the thread up for its instructive value, that of being an example of media spin which is unfortunately practically everywhere you look.

Kudos to our brother SQUAREHEAD!

The vaccine is designed to drastically reduce the severity of the symptoms and also spread of Covid infection rates.

Thanks MM?
I certainly never want to mislead anyone with posting questionable info.

This is what the ultra conservative Murdoch press does best. Spreads misinformation, bullshit and outright lies in order to mislead people.
Unbiased news should present the facts impartially, without emotion and make you question and find things out.
If any news source fills its headlines and copy with emotional charged and inflammatory text, ignore it.
I would refuse to read any over top news from the left or the right. Straight down the centre line is what I choose to fill my mind with.

I never quote Fox stuff for this very reason.
I like ‘some’ of Fox, but not all, although CNN is way off base.
Both CNN and Fox, generally speaking, tend to sensationalize whatever they get their teeth into, many times, taking things out of context to sell their side._
