Excellent easy tuner upgrade for PRS SE with Kluson style. Pics and link

Just got done switching out the shit tuners on my PRS SE McCarty 594. It was the only thing I didn't like about the otherwise fantastic guitar. They would hold tune but were a shit ratio which made getting it in tune difficult. I decided to try Music Lilly 18:1 locking tuners. Cheap and the easiest tuner swap I've ever done. Didn't even have to swap the bushings and screw holes lined up perfectly. Also made a better break angle for the strings over the nut decreasing the angle for less nut tension and drag which also should help tuning. Smooth and easy to tune very precisely to pitch. Feel just like my 18:1 Klusons on my Les Paul so I am very happy for the low price especially. Some may not like the color, I prefer it to the factory white tuners.

Sweet axe, and agree, the color looks better. Great info, thanks for sharing it. I found the tuners on the SE model is the weakest point though I tried an SE studio strat the other day and they weren't as bad as those on the older se custom 24 I had for a hot minute.

I originally ordered Klusons but got sent the wrong ones (6 inline) so I didn't have the patience to wait 2 more weeks and tried these instead. Really impressed with the quality.
