I bought tempo Of the damned when they returned a few years ago. I thought it was good. but i stopped paying attention after that. I knew Paul Baloff died, but what the hell happened to steve souza? I am loving the new guy though(well 3 years new) . and loving the guitar sound on Shovel headed Kill Machine.

that's right, i remembered...he's dublin death patrol singer now, well, him and chuck billy

They Kickass thats WTF.

I "THINK" (so Mr. Peters doesn't try and throw this one back in my face) Steve couldn't afford to stay on tour, so he left, but I think he's working another project too, dont know what it is. Like I said I think, dont remember for sure.

Yea, I like Rob Dukes too, I think he fits in real well. and the Amps they are using are the XXX with a Presonus PEQ in front.

i remember reading sumthin about him quitting during their tour...musta been sumthin major. i like dukes too but i was never a huge souza fan...i always thought he sounded too much like brian johnson. oddly enough, they covered "dirty deeds" and i could not have been happier...righteous cover.

I also see Rick Hunolt is no longer in the band.?? And until tonight didnt realize paul bostaph :worship: was playing with them.

YES!! i always thought souza sounded like an Exodus-ized Brian Johnson. I did dig fabulous disaster though , back in the day It was one of my major motivators  along with Testament's "the Legacy" , and Nuclear Assault's " critical mass"

I thought i remember gary holt saying on here that he was using a JSX boosted?? I can totally hear that peavey sound though. its the first thing I noticed hearing 44 magnum Opus. I think the Shovel Headed Kill Machine tones are a little better than the new one.

I just can't get with Rob Dukes

Souza lacked stage presence live on the tempo era tours, but on the record he was still great. and the tones on the record were great.

exodus came out of a long break with a fantastic album, but followed it up with two mediocre ones

and paul bostaph isn't in the band anymore, tom hunting is back

Lee and I both run the JJ brand tubes. Best in the world. We each have a head with EL34's and with 6L6's. On the new record we used the el34 head with a Presonus parametric EQ. Other than that I use a gate to shut up the EQ, which I run in front of the input, not in the loop. Crunch channel for everything but clean stuff, I don't use the ultra. One thing you may not know about the XXX is when you plug in the footswitch ther loop acts as a boost even with nothing connected to it. That's how I boost my shit, you just set the send and return where you want them, activate the loop and instant boost. Without the footswitch , the send and returns are still active, you can get more volume by turning them up. But the more you crank them, the tone gets a bit brighter, so don't go crazy. Set 'em at about two o'clock and it's all good.

Amazing!, I could watch that forever. Juggernaut rules.

Wow...came in to read about Exodus and got kinda sidetracked visually....what did everyone say again.

I needs Moar Exodus...what's the good stuff....and does it have shitty thrash vocals?

why would you want to hear more of a thrash band if you don't like the "shitty" thrash vocals? just doesn't make sense to me.
