Haven't made a clip in awhile, so I figured I'd do some death metal. Not a popular genre here, but for those who dare, enjoy the kick in the face. The solo starts at 20 sec in if you really can't stand listening to blastbeats. First half of the leads are 81, second half are SA. Rhythm is all 81, of course. Bedroom volume recording, as always.

Sounds killer !! drum is a lil loud maybe??

Hey, man! These are the pickups you sold me awhile back. Thanks again! I just adjusted both the bass and drums slightly. Knocked them down about 2 to 3 dB to get more of the guitar to show. It's still bass/drum heavy, but the guitar should be slightly clearer now.

Awesome clip! I still like to listen to this kind of metal . I just can't play it at all!

Cool stuff Tom!!! Is this the 5153 you got from Hilligan?
Man I wanna rock one in person. Clips sound great!

Thanks for checking it out, guys. Yeah, it's the 5150 III I got from Jeff. Like always, rhythm was Channel 3 (Red) and lead as Channel 2 (Blue). I'm moving into a tiny studio apartment in a few months, so I might have to sell my rig. I'm hoping the Kemper can replace it, but who knows...

Sounds great man. Im on a huge 5153 kick lately. All of my main live rhythm patches on my kemper are all 5153, most from the amp factory. Just an all around great amp, by far my favorite in its price range and under... He'll maybe and then some....

She looks 12. :gethim:

Oh damn

That's heavy. I love the rythym riff under the lead.

Can you teach me to record like you? because that was awesome.

Thanks again! Regarding recording, I just throw a mic in front of the cab and never really think too much about it. My room isn't treated at all, and the recording volumes are low, so I just run with whatever tone I get that day. Regarding the girl, she's actually 25. She's gonna be 26 in 2 months, actually.

Killer clip. Clips like this, along with the new Gojira should pretty much put to bed the school of thought that the EVH doesn't get as brutal as the blockletter.

Also the girl is cute as fuck. What's her name?
