I got the metal head by accident the preloaded beats are just Meshuggah beat/songs, I would go with Drum kit from hell which is actually pretty decent or metal machine,nevusofota":3g5jfyy2 said:Thanks for the heads up!Skrapmetal":3g5jfyy2 said:I think they do this sale every year, but I missed it last year.
The expansions are all $40 off, too. I just picked it up and the Metal Machine pack for $70.
The upgrade to Superior Drummer 2.0 is another $99 right now, so you can get the full thing for $128.![]()
Getting ready to order but does anyone know the difference between the Metal Machine pack and the Metal Head pack?
IDK about Garageband, but programming a track is super quick compared to my drum machines in the 80s & 90s. Midi keys are helpful, but mouse will do everything you need. I typically find a generic drum track that is close to the beat I need, then make tweaks....but you could certainly go from the ground up. EZdrummer sound quality is just ok- the cymbals are really exposed. Superior yields higher bit rates and sounds like the real deal with proper tweaks.rlord1974":1pnr7ftf said:Probably a stupid question, but can I easily bring EZDrummer into GarageBand on my MacBook Pro? Is it a significant upgrade over the drums already in GarageBand?
Also, how easy is it to program a complete drum track in EZDrummer, from the ground up (i.e., not starting from a loop)? Will I need a midi controller to do it, or will a keyboard and mouse be sufficient?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. $29.99 is a killer deal......
Thanks gents!
Geez bro, all of your damn questions... you might ask Luke Curd, I'm sure he'll be able to help.rlord1974":2ca27xkl said:Probably a stupid question, but can I easily bring EZDrummer into GarageBand on my MacBook Pro? Is it a significant upgrade over the drums already in GarageBand?

Now, now, Garey. I'm illiterate when it comes to computer recording, so I need all the help I can get. I don't need any fancy DAW's or anything. If I could integrate EZDrummer into GarageBand, which I already have, I think I'd be set.......
I just want to be able to work with some ideas, quick and easy. I'm not looking to make CD-quality recordings on my computer that I can print and distribute........
