Hey guys,

In the first week of August, I got together with Jason, (KillerTone), to crank up a bunch of Fortin amps. The EP just made it back the day before that, so we got it together, and I brought the 2203kk out for Jason to check out. We didn't plan to do any recording, we just decided to on the spot. So I recorded the video clip, and he recorded the audio. Every thing was done in one take, and wasn't rehearsed. Jason came up with the riffs on the spot. Last Thursday or Friday, he sent me the audio, and I synced it with what I had video wise, and this is the result. Its pretty much a live take, no post EQ stuff, and just some video editing I did with one camera take.

Sounds good, very Dino Cazeras/Fear Factory like. I think I can hear the noise gate on the stop/start chugs.

The gate works well for tight riffing. Doesn't really mess with the tone, and can be dialed rather easily. I do like the tone in this clip as well, although I thought it was more KillerTone/Bad Mfker like.

fkn mega....!!

Question - that Fryette loaded with stock P50e cones?

Thanks for doing the video Joe as well as Jason. The KK does have it's own thing going on...I hear those KT88s:-)

No problem. Jason can really put the mustard on it when it comes to metal riffing. Now, if you can only squeeze those KT88s in that new Head Stomp Box you got going, I'll be all good! :poke:

What Mods?

Mike can probably answer you better than I can attempt. As far as I can say, the power section, and pre amp sections have been re-voiced . There is Depth control mod, and a Mid frequency shift, which are located on the rear of the amp. I think Darth Vader is in the amp some where as well.

By the way guys, Jason had the pre-amp some where around 40% in this demo.

This is a really cool amp. Surprised there aren't more of them out there.

Like Joe said, I have the gain really low in this clip, right around 11 o'clock or so. There is tons on tap and the re-voiced boost section can take it to surgically tight levels. The mid shift is killer and takes the amp from 80s to modern with a flick of the switch. And of course the depth control adds as much bass as any player could ever want. :)

Thanks Jason

Marshall discontinued the 2203KK so that is the reason why there aren't more.

Buying up used ones and going through them, modding, etc... just isn't worth the time and effort due to their price point
