I got one.
When I lived in CA a year or so ago, I go check out this amp on Craigslist.
It's listed as "Bogner Modded Marshall". I go check it out the guy is some studio musician guy plays on peoples songs and such. So I play the amp through a 70' Marshall cab, and it sounds good.
I asked him how he came about the mod, somehow he had some connect to Bogner and he said he was at Bogner's shop and he basically was tweaking the head while he was playing till he got it.
Maybe I should have bought it.
The thing that turned me off was that the thing had more knobs and switches than the flight deck of the space shuttle.
I figured I would be turning knobs all day instead of playing.

But when he was showing me the amp he was playing a Tele..........................
ALthough I don't remember him saying anything about prducing recording anyones albums.

Turns out also the guy is from back east and when I told Greazygeo about it, he knew who the guy was frm the scene back there.
Yep, Jeffery Kohlman he played in a band Edwin Dare....kind of a Queensryche type band.

Great thread....quality info. Saw AIC on their facelift tour, on their Dirt tour, and Clash of the Titans.

I know where the Snorkler's twin is  I've tried to buy it on 4 different occasions..current owner bought the head and a Bogner 4x12 straight cab from the original owner for $1000 shipped

You're going to create a feeding frenzy with the Cantrell tone chasers.

Heh...they can frenzy all they want. That tone is actually a lot closer than they may realize. My XTC Classic has it in spades...the larger contributor is the feel factor thats unique to the player...

I know where it is too,...

I called - it was a 100 watt SS Randall - model ~ unknown.

I know you do ;) Shhhhhhhhh.....

I've been listening to all the AIC over again in the last few days and dig the huge chug guitar tones. I went back and listened to the Jerry Cantrel solo stuff again as well and almost dig those tones more.

Really like this from Boggy Depot - "dickeye" simple song.....

I think he was using all XTC on the first solo album but then moved to the Shiva on Degradation Trip for the majority (still don't think spiderbite is shiva though ;) )
