Fargen Mini Plex MK II Amp Features

* London Power / Power Scaling control 12 watts down to less than a 1/2 watt
* Single or dual power tube switch
* Custom Mercury Magnetics transformers w/ 4-8-16 ohm taps
* SoZo vintage style mustard capacitors
* Dual power tube sockets for use with any octal power tube(no re-bias)
* Use EL34/KT66 /KT77/6550/6L6/5881/6V6 ECT
* The ability to mix and match any of the above tubes...(i.e.El34 + KT66)
* DC Filaments for ultra quiet operation
* 1/8" aluminum chassis for the true vintage British amp sound
* New improved 3 position rotary decade switch that alters the circuit for true 60-70-80 Marshall style tones. (JTM 45 / Plexi / JCM 800)
* New head cabinet design with bottom loaded chassis
 
I'd like to hear the 800 mode..sounds pretty good in the other modes though

how much are these things?

I was just morbidly curious..when I see the term 'mini' in front of a piece of gear, my mind translates that to 'cheap'...heheh..not always the case

I need another four figure piece of gear like I need another hole in the head at this point =)
 
I had a custom two channel MK2.
The amp is single ended.
Tubby low end.
Quickly sold it.

That fargen amp is for iceholes! But it does sound fargen good. Those fargen bastages made a good corksuckin' amp!

I'm selling mine. Mine's a bit older, it doesn't have the power scaling feature, but it still sounds killer! :)
 
I dont hear anything special in the rock tone, but man!, those later tones were really sweet. I am confused though, how can that thing be class A and run all those different tubes with no rebias?
