Lmk . I’m trying differ things out . I guess I’m preferring my Hebert mk 1 and mk 3 . Trying other things before I trade it or sell it . It’s mint . Hopefully put it on a trade as part of 2c+ deal . Lol hint hint . But fr what’s some good boosts to try

Channels 3 and 4 are boosted enough IMO. Channels 1 and 2 are really free to boost more though. For 1 a Klon Klone could be nice. Channel 2 I would like to boost with an EQ maybe more than anything.

Suhr Koko boost. Just buy one. It’s awesome with Diezels too
A forgotten classic it seems. Do you have or have you owned both versions Matt? I didn't like V2 as much and ended up paying full price on eBay to get a V1 back. Was curious to hear your thoughts.

So you have MTL2 and Vh4 right . The Vh4 sounds so week compared to my MTL2 I feel something is wrong even with it . Both Herbert’s sound so much better . Idk what’s up

Yeah. The reloaded lasted a few days next to the original two button pedal when I had both at the same time. I don’t know what they did to the reloaded, but its not good. Lol

Ive owned a few VH4s and each version of Herbert and 4 versions of the MTLs. I still have 3 MTLs and no Diezels. I definitely prefer their Herbert over the VH4. these days I prefer amps with little to no compression like the Wizards.

I know they changed the voicing slightly on the red on the reloaded. Do you have the mid Q all the way up so the toggled mode is the most affected like the original. I run the Q up almost all the way and then run the mid boost volume low. I found that the original seems brighter and more cutting to my ear, possibly cut more bass?

My reloaded Koko is long gone. I really only use the mid boost side of the Koko with the knob set at about 9-10:00. Gives it a touch of mid grind and tightness without sucking out too much low end

dickinson tube overdrive
use as a clean treble boost
its the best boost i have ever tried
