MOP is the cliched answer, but there's a reason for that.[/quotei like it a lot,but i never see why peeps always say that..i like ride better too

Im gonna go with a tie between the black album and load. I was born in 1990 so when i was growing up that was the metallica i knew and grew up with. Whenever i hear their old stuff its like a whole different band to me.

Load is still amazing screw the haters

It's hard to choose one, but it has to be between the 4 first ones..

Tough call between Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets. Creeping Death and Disposable Heroes are awesome.

 I'd go RTL and them MOP.

This thread needs a poll!

It has to be these two, but mainly MoP. :)

pretty much anything up to 1990, if I have to pick, I'll go with Puppets.

Yep agreed, and it's taken me 12 years to realise it. I hated it at the time because it wasn't black, but i dug it out recently and was like " fuck this is good"

they tried something different, because you can't keep doing the same shit forever. applause to the tallica

Me and my brother was just talking about this yesterday and I told him MOP was my fav and his fav was LOAD.

AJFA FTW

That was a great time for metal when that album came out. I was just a little kid and just getting into metal and punk. AJFA, Rust in Peace, and State of Euphoria all came out around the same time. Fuckin A'

I'm going to say Kill 'Em All. There is a rawness about it that I really like. It's not head and shoulders far above any other particular Metallica albums, it's just the one I grab first when I am in the mood.

To me, Metallica's last album was MASTER. They were gone after that.
