I KNOW VH's version kicks the shit out of the original but the other guy did write the riff. :D

 
any part of Voodoo Chile, Slight Return. Dig both Hendrix and SRV version. My boner can't boner any more any time I hear it.
 
There's so many, but Black Sabbath's Children of the Grave main riff really smashes through for me.
 
That guitar riff intro gives me chills EVERY time. I love the swirling texture of that sound:
