It took me way too long to try the Kingsley pedals. Once I did, I went down a rabbit hole with tube drive pedals: Page V2, Harlot V3, Valbrucht Kaluna V1 & V2, Tubesteader Magnezium.

If these, I felt like the Kaluna is the most versatile and can do from edge of breakup to hard rock levels of gain. The Harlot has more mids baked in and sounds more Marshally and is better for higher gain. The Page adds a really nice feeling tube sag that is addictive. The Magnezium is also super flexible but it didn't click with me the way the others did.

Always wanted a BK Butler Bias. Never tried any Kingsley stuff although I am a big fan of TPS and they rave about all things Kingsley. I’ve tried the Radial Classic and Nady TD-1 (almost identical to one another) and the Blackstar Dual HT. I’m not sure I enjoyed them as much as the valve amps natural overdrive characteristics. Maybe it’s is one too many preamp stages cascading on top of the others….? The four I mentioned (minus Kingsley) had terrible AC power requirements. Big turn off!
