Sent my friedman Marshall back to Dave for a simple clean and this was the result!!

Look at the bright side...it's better than happening on the way back to you. ;)

What's the difference?

I agree.

Dave can definitely fix anything that is wrong, but you might only need a new head box. I would much rather it be damaged enroute, rather than damaged internally while coming back to me. Much cheaper and more convenient that way!

Yeah I guess y'all are right. UPS destroyed a 412 and now fed ex with this head, I'm fucking SOOO PISSED OFF!!

In all my yrs buying and selling, fed ex use to be the best and ups use to break or loose half the packages. Lately though, FedEx has been slipping big time . They "lost" my vintage Marshall (more like a worker stole it) right in their main Cali hub. Another time they lost an old plexi head so I bought another. The day I paid for the new head fed ex called telling me the lost head turned up in Michigan which is no where near nj, so I never got the insurance money and got stuck with two heads/cabs. I was heartbroken though when my jmp disappeared without a trace.

Ouch

Damn....that took a hell of a whack. At least it is with Dave to check out and hook you up with a new box.

Don't get me started on shipping companies. They are absolute pieces of little shit balls - all of them on any given day.

Oh man, sorry about your amp! looks like it gave way right along the joints... hmm

Yeah guys, there is no match for my detest for these shipping Co's. they totally ass rape you on shipping fees then you are totally rolling the dice. 50/50 chance your shit will not get totally fucked up so you can beg and plead for them to hold their end of the bargain.

They fucked up a Rhodes Colossus I sent. If you are persistent enough you can get the claim paid somewhat quicker. I put in the claim on May 6 and got it resolved and paid on the 20th.

Wow, that's pretty quick actually!
When UPS fucked up my 412 it took almost 2 months of me raising hell to get money!

For you guys that live in the US, have you checked with your homeowner's insurance carrier to see if you can get a rider for 3rd party shipping insurance? Or, if you are shipping a lot of stuff, take out a 3rd party shipping insurance policy. You will be paid off immediately and the insurance company then hashes it out with the shipper. No fuss from what I hear and have read. With the shipping companies, you may get lucky, but its dodgy at best on winning a claim. Even if the policy cost you a couple hundred a year, it would be more than worth it. All companies shipping gear should have this, but they don't.

Hmm... Wasn't aware of this, may need to check into that

I know this doesn't help your current situation but you may find it useful in the future. Home depot and Lowes sell a 2" thick rigid foam insulation in 4'x8' sheets for around $40.00 a sheet. A pull stroke PVC saw or cheap hot knife cuts through it with ease. I cut pcs to brace the transformers and then build a tight fitting enclosure for every amp head or power amp I ship, and wrap the entire enclosure in duct tape, bubble wrap the shit out of it and place it in a heavy duty box. Material cost a bit, but the piece of mind is worth it.

Shit guys, sorry about those extra large pics. One of these days I'm going to put my guitar in the case and learn how to operate this computer. :D
