I can tell you that I tried the Boost DLA and didn't like it. I sent it back because it seemed to slightly blur my tone (both the original and repeats). The clarity just wasn't there for me and I went back to my Guyatone MD-3, which isn't perfect, but clear, and more preferable to me.
What rig were you using it with and was it wired in front of your amp or in the FX loop?.....

I tested it on a pedal board after a dr.boogie style distortion pedal with a cabinet sim direct to the computer. There wasn't any funky fx loop stuff going on. I think I also tested it in the loop of my Single Rectifier with the same result in comparison to the Guyatone. I still had the signal cut out and the "blurry" tone coloration.
the simplifled chain on the direct board was
guitar > dist > boost dla tap > sound card
