Good move getting your girl out of harms way first Dave, you dont have to know as long as that instict is there :)

Mojo sent for your recovery!

Glad your daughter is ok  Good it didn't end up worse!

damn brother...that must have been scary! I fell down 5 stairs holding my son when he was a few months old and somehow neither one of us was hurt. Somehow I managed to cradle him and roll down. It was a freak thing because I'm usually a klutz!

Mojo sent for a speedy recovery!

be careful! i was walking in the dark the other morning, kicked a guitar case (of all things), and broke one of my toes. At work, I could feel my wingtip getting tighter by the hour.... I took my shoe off at lunch time at work to see the toe completely black and swollen. I laughed about it, but it HURTS.

glad you're ok

Yikes, way to save the tike. You had me   about the wife comment reminds me of...

Yeah, but did your daughter pee herself?!! You can't leave us hanging like that!!!!

unrelated...but I got hit in the face with a volleyball so hard, my head slammed into the ground, and then the force made me fly back upright. (I was sitting on the ground). Then I tried to walk it off, ended up falling down again. Turns out I had a concussion. WOOHOO INSURANCE.

Yikes Dave, glad you were able to land your daughter safely. Crazy how mundane stuff can turn bad in a hurry, get well man.

Man, I'm glad you didn't break anything and I'm VERY glad your daughter is ok.

My brothers used to push me down the stairs when i was a kid...one time when I was on crutches (those bastards). I never got seriously hurt, but I think it's easier to get hurt when you're bigger. Once, when I was about 12, I saw my father slip down the stairs...me, my brother, and my mother all went in to the other room and closed the door before we laughed our asses off. We felt bad when we realized my father broke his wrist.

Glad you and yours are OK, Make sure you dont get a cold while you have bruised ribs, I cracked some ribs in a motocross incident, got sick, everytime I would cough, it was like being gutshot with a 12 gauge.  Of all the stuff I broke, cracked, or tore while racing, that was by far the most painful :aww:

Man, Pete, your brothers were BRUTAL :gethim: :gethim:

Good to see that neither of you got seriously injured. Falling by yourself is one thing, but with your kid right there.. that's scary.

Smart thinking, too... considering her urgency. ;)

Stairs must be the number one reason of serious domestic injury...

Man that musta hurt Dave! Falling down the stairs isnt fun at all

Glad to hear you werent seriously injured and that your daughter didnt get hurt!!

Good save....I swear there must be some kind of animal instinct that comes out when your kid/baby is in danger like that. Similar thing happened to my buddy while I was over. He slipped on the wet kitchen floor while holding the baby but somehow managed to lob the baby up to the counter in her soft changing-basket like Michael Jordan doing a lay-up as he was heading towards the ground shoulder-first. It was pretty amazing because my friend is not very athletic and kind of overweight. I've never seen him move that fast.

Glad you're (relatively) ok, man! good move with your daughter as well. I was walking from m car to my front door early yesterday morning. We'd just had a big thaw Saturday, and overnight it had frozen. I realized this as soon as I put my foot on our front steps. Legs flew out and i bashed my left hip and left arm pretty bad....still can't really lift anything with my arm.

Glad to hear you made it out with all major organs/appendages intact!

When my daughter was only a few weeks old, I slipped and fell on my ass down about 4 steps at home. Banged up the hip, heel and ass pretty good. Baby was perfectly fine - I think I rotated mid-air to protect her and took all the damage on the other side of my body! Interesting instincts...
