Fellow Americans: Why do you "know" that you must carry proper identification while out in "public"?

You don’t in some states. You just need to be able to validate your identity if asked.

What are you talking about? Does not apply in Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia, Pennsylvania, ohhh that's only not required for voting even though it was law prior to the 2020 election in all these states.

But they somehow want to mandate a CV19 vaccine/health card. Do they have an HIV/AIDS , HPV, Hepatitis health card?

AFAIK you don't. I need my license when driving but I didn't think you were required to have ID if you were just out walking/jogging/etc.

Don't in UT. Only driving, but it's the law that when asked by a LEO you answer honestly.

You don’t have to show your ID in many states unless you are being formally detained for suspicion of a crime

I had to provide my DL to vote in November. Always has been a requirement here. You have to be registered, and provide proper ID. To suggest that it isn’t required in Wisconsin is fake news.
