Fender Atomic Vid

For those that were interested in the Fender Atomic humbucker that I discussed in the other thread, I made a quick video. I will also post a vid of the same strat with a Duncan Custom Custom. I tried to play a few of the same licks from the earlier vid. All the settings are the same on the amp.

Definitely dig the tone with the atomic more. Never would have thought I'd dig a stock fender 'bucker over a duncan.

Thanks! I'm really digging this pickup. It sounds huge in the room.
 
custom custom lacks the spank and cut. I have one and am very underwhelmed by it. Nice highs for leads and that is about it.
 
I liked the atomic, the cc sounded muffled by comparison.
 
Yeah, the Atomic has a clairty that the CC definately doesn't have.
 
i think that the pickups sound a lot closer if you turn up the volume on the second clip.

both sound pretty good to me.

in fact the CC may sound better if he was playing at stage volumes.

I find that some pickups that I like jamming at home at low volumes sound too brash at gig volume.

No I haven't. I don't currently have a JB at the house. I quit using them when I got the 5153, as to me they just don't play well with the amp.
 
How can I tell if I have one? I got a hss am deluxe strat
And the pickup just says "Fender" on the bottom

They come standard in the Deluxe Strats.
