Fender deluxe reverb for rock?

So long as you move the volume knob to 6/10 or past that, the Deluxe will sing. Both the twin and super reverb are better amps in my opinion. Additionally if you can get your hands on one from the sixties you are set. Those are amps that one should never sell.

I LOVE Twins but they are back breakers, can't be doing with that these days :(

That is definitely a consideration. The twin and the super weigh more than the deluxe.

Bogner Red into a Deluxe is sweet.

Yes it does!

I'm pretty convinced those pedals were specifically designed for blackface Fenders.

Looking heavily at a Bogner Red for my DRRI, did you play these through the Vibrato channel with the bright cap? Hoping to avoid the fizz :)

Always through the vibrato channel. No fizz.

You must have had your volume at around 4, than. ;)

Thank you again for the helpful info. I'm coming into some reward points with musicians friend at the end of the month and may need to treat myself

I love my deluxe reverb. I'm running my pedalboard in front with my modulation stuff running wet/dry into a second 1x12 cabinet. Really enjoying the setup right now.

+1 for the extension cab setup. Having swaths of reverb from both corners of the room is intoxicating.

Yes, it does. A friend of mine runs a Red into a chorus that he splits between two Deluxes in a wide stereo across the stage, it sound glorious!

When I had an Axefx my favourite patch was a FDR with a Tube Driver. Would love to try one in person.
