Not played peavey classic 30

Suggestions?
Experiences?

I saw a peavey classic 50 with 4 10-'s for like 300 here in the classifieds great amp for that.

Checkout Nolatone and Reason Amp's.. I really dig both. Nolatone Tango 22 I like. I also played the Reason's at last years Nashville Show..crazy sick tone in a small package (Bambino's). Also a good ole' Fender Twin and tube screamer works good for Bonamassa.. Thats what he used at the Ernie Ball 50th Anniversary show, later in the week after we seen him at The Baked Potatoe. :)

look for a PV classic in your neck of the woods...great clean and gain channel while the HRD series all have sucky gain channels.

I can't imagine anything short of a real mod fixing it. I've heard certain OD pedals through the clean channel work but haven't tried it myself.

My guitarist has 2 Fender Hot Rod Deluxes. They both sound awesome. Cleans are great although not as good as my 78 Twin Reverb. It does take effects really well too.

I'll refine the post by saying no pedals....

Cord/guitar/amp/ splash of verb, old school. Amps gotta sing and scream thru the volume and touch. Maybe.... a screamer out front, but not dependent by any means.
