Ok...so this is inspired by Justin Holton's page, which discusses the mod in greater detail, but doesn't have very hi-res pics. As always, myself, HC, and Justin Holton are not responsible for any injuries, deaths, or damage to your amp or yourself that may result from you attempting this mod.
Holton's page can be found here:

Basically this mod involves removing a resistor from the reverb circuit, which cuts down on the brittleness when running the amp at lower volume and making any adverse tone shaping properties of the reverb circuit much less pronounced. In other words, it makes for a much more 'natural' and less 'transistor' sounding reverb. Because of the effect on the high pass circuit, the amp will sound a bit darker at lower volumes with the reverb on than it did before. However, the amp becomes better sounding and much more 'Fender-ish.'
First, remove the six screws/bolts holding the back panel on. Then, lay the amp on its face.
You should see something that looks like this:
R103 is located directly under the reverb pot, as shown. A small pair of wire cutters should do the trick. Be very careful not to touch the capacitors nearby. You only need to snip one end and then use a pair of needlenose pliers or a small flat-bladed screwdriver to bend the resistor out of the way, making sure that it's not in a position to arc or ground out on anything.
The final result should look like this:
Put the back panel back in place and play the hell out of it!
This is a completely reversible mod, but I think most Hot Rod owners will find that they like the amp better with the mod than without.
Enjoy.
