I've finally managed to get a minute to turn the camera on and film the Yeti.

Nothing flash (or extensive as the camera went dead - too many vids of my 20 month old by my wife) but it may give someone an idea of what it can sound like...remember it's a cheap $300 camera using a little camera mic and this is my first YT vid! My room is very small so I was sitting virtually in front making it's howl (pedalboard was plugged into my Orange so no ISP).

Both bright switches to the left (facing the amp), era to modern, gains @ ~ 1.30...master at about 9am (not 'that' loud TBH - loud home level).

 ayeeeeee thx a lot!

Rather a great tone IMO. GAS GAS GAS all the way.

That sounds pretty sick  . Thanks for adding another amp to my want list. I'm sure my fiance wont mind if one of these just shows up at our house.

If you played a Chupacabra? if so, how would you compare the Yeti and Chupa?

that's a great sounding amp man. Congrats!

I'll own Nik's Overtone Special Bluesmaster in the future FOR SURE.

Thanks guys!

It's an awesome amp, espec considering the prices of other gear here in Aus.

I've never tried the Chupa but I was going to get the Chupa until Nik suggested the Yeti. Both are killer amps but the Yeti works great for what I want.

Thanks for the clip first off, way better than the sent by USPS typed reviews

Sounded very good with the setup you had, nice playing as well!

bumpage for more clips =) dying to hear more from this amp

Nice tone, what did they say that made you decide on the Yeti over the Chupa?

i have always been curious about the differences between the cupacabra and yeti.

i am really digging this tone, and would definately be leaning towards this version based on the clip.

Sounds Sick!

I'm building up some serious Ceriatone GAS.

It sounds like a modern take on the Chupacabra no?

Thanks guy's!

I just got back from holidays and I'll see if I can record something more in the next week.

I actually was going to buy the Chupa but Nick asked me what I wanted out of an amp (AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Van Halen and some modern aggressive tones - basically classic rock to classic metal with a little extra if I could get it) and he suggested his new amp that hadn't been released yet. I wasn't 100% so I kinda took the chance as he said it was similar gain wise to the Chupa though it was a bit more vintage and cleans up to the classic Plexi type stuff more easily...but it was still pretty feral if I wanted it to be.

Cheers mate! They are killer amps IMHO. The Yeti is actually the more vintage of the two amps though it's still hugely aggro and if you scoop it (it has plenty of mid range) and push the presence and treble you get the sound in the vid (no boosts or any tricks...just a JB equipped super strat in drop D).

It's a darker amp than the Chupa (Nick) and even with my dark Orange cab it's def bright enough for anything I personally want to throw at it. I tested a JVM 410H and a modded SLP reissue and they were much brighter/harsher amps and I liked the idea of a less bright amp. Even with the darker cab, it's an awesome combo. Extremely cheap too for what you get!

Nik was fantastic to deal with and can customise the build too which is great...he even did my custom tolex job. My Yeti has the sozo option.
