I eat my words.. someone DID do a diavlo demo more suited to cock rock! I even hear a bit of chorus... way to go Chubtone! That Charvel is sweet too! Wish i had gotten a matching white head stock finish for one of my custom axes now that I think of it :(

Damn nice Charvel, damn nice playing and the tone kicked ass.

I'm still waiting for Jason's full on demo of the 100 watter tbh. I need to hear how the clean channel sounds and if the EQ plays nice with all 3 of the channels.

great playing, thats the kind of playing that makes anything sound great. Now I want a charvel like that...but not for $3k...:(

For $3k you would have that guitar new and a used Marshall plexi reissue head.

Nice playing Curt! :rawk:

That guitar is HOT too. Based on your above comment, am I to infer that that guitar runs right around $2K?.....

This video is very unofficial. I was going to just send it to the guy who ordered the Charvel, but Jay threw it up on Youtube for some reason. The next morning I was getting emails and questions and had no idea what people were talking about.

This is just wanking around with the RD1H. That little head is the coolest little practice head ever in my opinion. 1 watt all tube and a three way switch to control saturation going from very Super Lead ish to the left. Very mean JCM800 in the middle and modern to the right. The RD5H is just that much meaner than this one and records a little better in my opinion.

I really think that Randall's focus on these is for the modern, heavier style of players but I was pleasantly surprised to find the sounds that hard rock and classic metal guys like are in these circuits too. And I don't mean as an afterthought or as kind of sounding passable. I'm talking plug in, play a little, dial it in and spend the rest of the time playing and laughing and laughing and playing because you know an amp in this price range shouldn't be this cool sounding and this fun to play.

Little bit over $2k. Let's say you got a slightly better deal on the plexi reissue. And I mean slightly.

Should have it by end of tomorrow...wish I could get away with a quick iPhone clip but I can't...

I'd like to thank you again for taking the time to do this.

I know most people won't understand why we asked this of you but this demo will be very helpful to a lot of other folks like myself who want to hear the cleans and whatever else, other than metal, the amp can do.

I think if anything i might get the RD5 for a lil fun for christmas. No need for another monster 45 or 100 watter.

I think I am right there with you on this one.

I really want the RD 100, still a great price and damn. 100w and mean...

But realistically I feel I should buy the RD-5. It is cheaper so the wife wont hate me, would be perfect for practice and recording use.

The only way I could currently afford or even warrant another 100w'er would be if I can justify the RD-100 replacing my 100w Pitbull.

I still havent personally played one yet so I really need to test these out.

I can't recommend and RD5 enough, I have one sitting here plugged in to a 412 and it is scary how badass it sounds. The little TSS switch (Tone Stack Shift) is so well done that it covers a ton of ground with the flip of a switch.

Same here.....this plus a little 1x12 cab should be great for home use. It sounds like a blast.

channel 1 of the RD100 and OD channel of the RD45 are the same.
Is the single channel of the RD1 and RD5 the same too?

Pretty cool playing Curt!!! Love the guitar and the amp sounded pretty nice
