Finally a diavlo demo that I can relate to! (RD-1)

Thanks guys, I am working on a good video but it will be a couple of weeks judging by my schedule.
 
This might be an option for me as well....my wife and I are expecting our first child in December. I'm trying to decide what to do for home recording? I just use my quickrod, but now I don't know? Thought about an engl ironball, cuz I'm not sure of the two notes? But don't need to spend $1k either at the moment? So the 5watter records better Jason? Chubby, playing was rockin.
 
I've had my RD5 head since March and I love it. Most of the time it's powering 2 4x12s. Such a cool amp. It really does everything I need. I've made a few clips with a V30 and G12K-85 and also with the speaker emulated XLR out and I think it sounds excellent.
 
channel 1 of the RD100 and OD channel of the RD45 are the same.
Is the single channel of the RD1 and RD5 the same too?

The single channel of the RD1 and RD5 sound identical though you have to set them differently to get similar sounds. I prefer the RD1 with the switch to the left and the RD5 with the switch in the middle. The RD1 is maybe a little more saturated feeling probably because the power section has less headroom.

How do they sound preamp wise with channel 1 of RD45-100 ?

What speaker and cab did you use in the vid please ?

No need to ask him. They are the same. Power section makes a big difference at that low of wattage.

:rock: I'll be looking forward to hearing it! I REALLY want one of these and a new Charvel. I ponder about the RD20. That amp hardly ever gets any talk anywhere :confused: It seems like it would be the next best thing for those that like the RD5 but wish it had a full EQ selection.

I dont have either of the amps, but I would say that the circuit would probably be pretty similar between the RD1/5 and the RD45/100. Biggest difference I imagine would be the amount of tubes in the 45 and 100 watt vs. the 1 or 5 watters. More tubes, probably more gain and flexibility.
