Finally got a Balaguer

And it is great. Couldn't ask for a better experience with this company. And I'm sorry but Joe has good taste, thing is prrty.

I wouldn't really call it a metallic at all (maybe it is idk) but depending on the lighting the colors can really pop out or stay dull. Really cool and it looks great in person with the all maple.

The neck is a slight adjustment for me coming from compound charvels and schecter but it's easy to play and the radius feels great.

Anyway, I'm glad I made the move on this one. If you haven't bought a BG you probably should check them out.

Joe is a great friend and guy. Love his guitars! Congrats man! I think it comes from him being such a great player that he really knows how to build a guitar with lots of little details that truly make them awesome to play. That swirl is nuts too!

I dig it. I love the black/purple look....reminds me of my Candy Plum 09 Charvel. I've heard only good things about the USA built Balaugers. The Korean stuff is a bit hit/miss from some but mostly good.

Congrats! I see a ton of Balaguer mockups that make me drool. I have one I really want to do but it's going to be after I get my Mayones. When you say the neck is an adjustment is it thicker or shapewise?

Shape. It isn't too thick at all. just more rounded than I'm used to.

Honestly not sure as I got it on a whim.

Maple neck and board. Feral pickups, 25.5" 22 fret I think, mahogany. It's a standard series.

Yep, dude is cool and can definitely play.

I can only imagine how good the USA ones are. This one has definitely given me some ideas for a custom.
