Finally got a CAA 3+ SE preamp for all those Lukather tones!

Had one myself with all the mods...great pre! Pair it with the right power amp and you'll love it even more! Suhr recommends the Mesa 2:90 and that's what I had with mine. What PA are you using?

cool, you hardly ever see them listed for sale.

Congrats!!! I bought one a while back,, I believe it was Trey A's from Phish.Love it paired with my VHT classic.Feels just like a real amp..no "rack feel" syndrome..

Sounds good with a 2:90 but even better I think in the effects return of a Marshall head! The Mesa is a little scooped sounding to me

For this demo I was using the efx return of my Bogner XTC head

Don't take this the wrong way, but both of these examples sound like something you could EASILY get out of a Boss or Digitech floor pedal.

Always been on my list of wants since Mark Day's original clips. Congrats!

Well how am I supposed to take a comment like that?

Let's hear your amazing tones from your $30 Digitech solid state unit?

If you're putting up a clip there might not always be people, like myself, who like it. Imo you've spent thousands and not really ended up with something that great, but of course others might disagree. (No-one has actually commented on the sound you get itself though if you notice).

Here's my gsp1101/rocktron velocity for way, way cheaper doing a pretty nice lead sound from about 1.20 in the vid.

I don't expect you to agree now though of course haha!

I should also add that it's just that sound you demo'd, I'm sure you can get loads more tones from your rig, I'm not trying to be mean or anything!
