Finally I am an Egnater user

Whoohoo- my M4 arrived before the weekend and I have finally gotten it in my rack
Pics below - the little amp to the left is my custom built single ended power amp - class A, 10w, running a 6CA7 power tube

A quick question
The m4 preamp chassis says it should have a 12AT7 and a 12AX7 but mine came with two 12AX7s

Is this wrong ?
Should I change one of the 12AX7s for the lower gain 12AT7

12AX7WA is fine in the 12AT7 slot. They all come with 12AX7WA's, BTW.

Nice ADA MXC. My MPC won't operate with the M4's Phantom power current. My MC-1 works fine though.

My other rack is pretty much all ADA stuff - some modified
It's funny because in a way I was doing similar to the Egnater modular stuff but with different modified ADAs

9100 takes 5881's or 6L6's

Yeah - I have loads of guitars around but I guess that is par for the course as I build guitars, but my girlfriend has taken to counting my amps when she comes around lately.

While I was waiting to get my Eggie your Youtube clips got listened to a LOT amongst others

My MPC works just fine with the Phantom power from the M4
I just tried my MC_1 and my Rolls Midi Buddy and they both work fine too on the Phantom power


Yeah the big Marshall 9100 is loaded with 5881s and it sounds great and damn loud for 50w a side
I run that through some Marshall 1912s loaded with Celestion Sidewinders

The RIVERA cabinet came with EVs but I swapped them out for Sidewinders too - sold the EVs and got nearly what I paid for the cabinet in the first place
The Rivera cab was just way too heavy with the EVs - was hard work for two guys to lift it
