Holy shit!

This pickup plays itself.

It retains maximum clarity and warmth at every fret.

It's not too hot, but it still feels like liquid.

harmonics are huge.

PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YES!

Got any output measurements? I'm on a pup hunt as we speak, But would be going in mahogany/maple - Jim

Sweet.I really love the set Wade wound up for me.I put them in an SG custom

I've been considering getting a set of these for my LP. I'm looking for something that will do Slash/Zeppelin/Walsh/etc. really well. I was considering either the Torque, Afwayu, or the Bliss Bucker. Any thoughts?

Others I've talked to said the Torque would probably be the way to go in an LP for what I'm looking for. I wasn't sure if the Bliss Bucker with the Alnico 2 magnets would be better or not.

Better than the Aldrichs?

not better, different though.

Definitely not as hot as the Aldrich. Not as bright either.

Actually, the torque reminds me of the Suhr DSV, but with a little more output, soul, clarity, and mojo.

Hmm... I've been on a hunt for a good bridge pup to drop into my RG565, which is the same as what you got almost. Maybe this is what I need! Nothing hot, or close to it, with lots of clarity. I think I'll give it a shot!

the torque comes in at just under 15k, the Aldrich is hotter at 17.5k. have heard the aldrich, and love it, but have not heard the torque to compare. Am looking for a pup for a PRS, may give the torque a try - Jim

Resistance ratings mean almost nothing when it comes to actual volume.

Actually, I find the Torque to be about "'59 loud", and the Aldrich to be "JB Loud".

I actually emailed Wade about my PRS Tremonti's...great guitars but a little in the upper mid sounding...I need some pups that are beefier and he recommended the Torques. I'm either going to try the Torque, a BBQ humbucker and may try the Tone Zone. The TZ is a higher ouput pup but I had them years ago in my shred guitars and always thought they were to dark. Even though the PRS is maple top and mahogany body it's brighter sounding than my Les Pauls...I need to beef them up a bit. It's narrowed down to those three.

I think Thump had a BBQ in one of his McCartys, You may ask him about it. I believe he liked it - Jim

I really dug the BBQ in my LP.....until I put in the Torque's. Seriously. They are really good. A bit pricey, but in my opinion they are a step above the BBQ. And my LP is a bright one.

Bump...I think I might get a set of these. The description on their website sounds perfect and all of the reviews I've read are killer as well. Can you order them in zebra? What magnets are in the set?

I would love to hear more about this pickup. It seems everybody raves about it, but there isn't a ton of info out there. It sounds like something I would really like.

I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on one ( next week or so ) When I get it in, and have some time to A-B it against some other stuff, I'll report back. Gonna stick it in a PRS Eagle :D The description's ( on the website ) always sound like" Thats just what I need" I would put way more stock into the fact that Gene loved it, and spoke very highly of it - Jim

Damn, Jim. I'm flattered. Thank you

3 weeks later. the honeymoon is over.

I still love this pickup. It's a strange beast, fairly dark and not super hot, but it plays/feels like it's hot. Very cool pickup.

i love my blister bucker pickup from motorcity i just got his blackbelt paf,i think its the best paf copy i have played...

        Well, I was kinda waiting for the honeymoon thing to pass, that happens to me all the time, which, BTW I hate! Looking for somthing not quite as hot as the Aldrich ( I love it, but dont need another of the same thing ) but is a little thicker, stays tight ( a must ), and has great overtones and harmonics. What do you think? I have an Anderson H3+ in there now, it sounds great, but if there is somthing better out there, I would be interested. Have a Tremonti in a McCarty that I like as much as the Aldrich, it has a little more detail in the mids, and more bottom, but is not as smooth. The PRS Eagle is mahogany/maple with a Braz. rosewood neck, the overtones are unbelievable, was looking for somthing to really bring that out, any suggestions? Thanks Gene - Jim
