Finally tried Helix Native on a mix.

Came out really good. Helix Native has a really cool sounding low end that other plugins don't have. Works really well in a mix.
I originally had used an AxeFx Ultra on this but I think plugins sound just as good or even better for some things. Also used Helix on the bass. Looks like I'm spending $400.00 Lol!!

Geez dude... that sounded pretty nice. Was it pretty easy to get a good tone? Knowing me I'll pick up that plugin at some point.. hopefully on sale ;)
 
Man that was killer! I tried it for the first time last night! Really happy with the results as well. What amps did you use? I used the Badonk, Recto and Engl.
 
That does sound really good!

The AFX mention caught my eye... you think you can get a tone as good as that with the Ultra easily?
 
Thanks guys. The amp I used was the recto but there's a few more that rock too. I think the angel which is the engl is really awesome too.

Of course but you have to realize in a whole song mix like that it has more to do with the bass then you think. I think the Ultra and Helix native are pretty much equal in sound but with the plugin you can do so much more.

Yeah man, don't sleep n the Badonk and other L6 amps though... just started checking those out and some good stuff for sure.

Yup. Once you bring the bass down on the Badonk - whew. Nasty amp.
