Finger pain with limited motion

Are you saying the finger, regardless of pain, will not close? What if you push it down to fist? Does it pop right back up?

It hurts while trying to close it. If I push it manually it still hurt but gets really tight feeling too. I can almost push it all the way closed but between the pain and tightness, I haven’t done that but a couple of times.

I've had recurring issues that flare up occasionally, but have been putting off surgery. Also had my dog break my fret hand pinky last year - waited too long to have it looked at and now it's permanently screwed up.

Get it looked at gain - don't be stubborn like my dumb ass. Good luck.
