This is right up my alley. Sounded like Carves His Stone on cleans. Nice!

That was my exact thought as well! Love that tune!
Well, I finally listened to that song - I thought I made that clean riff up, but it's almost identical to He Carves His Stone. Must have heard it at some point... :D

Wonder where I heard the heavy part I thought I made up... :hys:

Its not exactly the same but when I heard that clean this was the fist thing I thought of..

Oh my, I have never had an amp that cleans up that nicely. Unreal.

Great sounding clip and impressive cleanup . Would you get the same sound out of a Cherry Bomb on the rod channel ?

Thanks! I could dial the CB on the ROD channel in to sound like that heavy part, but getting that really forward upper mid presence would be a bit harder since the CB doesn't have the Bright switches that the Bottle Rocket does. You could get the clean easily.

Great tone from a beautifuly designed amp. Very jealous of your abilities.

Steve,
Great note clarity on the clean. I can even hear a little fret buzz from your low E string chiming in now and then (haha). It's really rare to hear an amp that does a great high gain tone roll off to a fantastic clean. Very well done. Is this amp only going to be a 50 watter?

Yeah, the high E is buzzing a bit too - the guitar is not set up properly. Needs a bit of fret work and that is where I draw the line on guitar building. Got to get this one to my tech...

Yes - 50 watt. I still have the 100 watt, two channel Cherry Bomb as well...

Sounds great Steve! The distortion is nice and smooth with a nice midrange. The clean also sounds great. I would've used a 57/R121 combo to get a bit of more brightness or air, but that's just my personal taste. Great tone!

Thanks man! I will definitely try adding the 57 as well - this was the first time I tried my R121 and wanted to see what I could get out of it alone...

The best way I could describe it is it just sounds like fun. Especially if you're an 80's fan it's just gonna put a grin on your face. I'll echo the comments on the great clean. Nice Job.

Now, can you dial in a decent Ram Jam tone?

Clean is pretty good for just rolling off the volume on the guitar, huh?
