First guitar was a Ibanez RG220
First amp was a Crate 15 watt solid state peice of shit, man I can remember how shitty the tone was trying to scoop the mids and play some f'd up metallica riffs

My first guitar was a Peavey Horizon 2. I picked it over the Kramer because it had more pickups and was made in the USA.

I bought the guitar with savings and my parents bought the amp a Peavey Backstage +.

They made sure it had a headphone jack and made the salesman throw in some headphones too. :aww:

My first was an original Japanese squier strat, it actually had the Fender logo, with a small "squier" underneath. Black on black, with a maple board.

First amp, a year or so after the first guitar, was a yamaha combo of some kind. Had the different colored knobs. No pic's, and all long gone unfortunately. It would be neat to have that stuff back.

First electric was a fender MIM strat, that guitar is responsible for making me like strats as it just 'feels' right. I still have it, its not going anywhere. I have changed alot of stuff on it (pickups, switch, pot, string trees, bridge saddles, etc)

First amp was a Fender HOT. It had 4 buttons for different voicing and reverb. At 25Watt SS it got buried with a drummer. I used to lug it a mile to my buddies to jam, it got heavy after a while....

1st guitar was a Montgomery Wards acoustic my grandma got me. 1st electric was some strange japanese Jaguar looking guitar and a harmony amp. My basketball coach sold me the guitar and amp, then I quit the team - but he didn't care because I wasn't very good anyway :D .

The first guitar I ever got was some piece of crap I won at a carnival... Terrible guitar, but I definitely had my fingers bleed over that thing because I got the bug bad and played all the time...

The first I ever bought was a Univox Hi-Flyer... First amp was an Acoustic 150 head that I used to use with a Univox Super Fuzz for distortion. I just found out those piece of crap Supper Fuzz pedals go for like $500 now... Amazing as they sound like utter crap... My first good guitar was a 70s Cherry Sunburts Les Paul with mini hums...

Steve
Dude, I love Univox Hi-Flyers! Do you still have it?

In high school I had an Arbor flying V and some cheap SS practice amp. I wasn't really into guitar then, it was very much on the side.

The first guitar I bought when I decided to actually learn to play guitar was a Fender Gemini III acoustic, followed by a Samick TV20 in orangsicle, Crate dx120ftxworhjslln or whatever model Crate.

No way man... In fact, I don't even know what I did with it once I got the LP... Hmmmm.... I think I just threw it away.

First Guitar: Squire Strat I bought off a friend for 50 bucks. Thing was old as hell but had the lowest action I have ever seen.

First Amp: Vox Valvetronix 30 watt, which I still have incidentally.

Squier Strat that I borrowed for about a year from the lead guitarist in my band- I was the keyboardist at the time. I ran it into a Zoom 505, then into my keyboard amp.

I know what you mean about the Univox superfuzzs, my buddy has one and it sucks tone when off, not to mention it doesn't sound that great. I am trying to get some replacement pots for it and then he will sell it.....

First guitar....Hondo II LP Standard copy

First amp....Marlboro practice amp....no distortion

Saved my money and bought a muff fuzz shortly after that :)

squier strat and a gorilla amp!! the gorilla was replaced by a SS marshall of some sort pretty quickly. I still have the squier... been wanting to slap a new neck on it since the one on it has been played to death the frets are popping out on it.

edit: speaking of that marshall... I traded it into a guitar store back in the mid 90's.. I stopped by that place a couple of weeks ago and Im almost 100% positive they have the same amp for sale there Marshall Master Lead 30 was the model.

Memphis Bass that was just aweful was my first stringed instrument, the amp I forgot the name but just bad.

First guitar was a Kramer Focus 3000 which was not bad at all for a first guitar, real good really. Amp was a Dean Markley which was your basic 80s SS tone, back then it was all I could afford and I was happy with it.
I have a Kramer Striker 100st. The neck is broken. Somebody on here had a banana hs neck. They were going to give it to me for $100.00, but I can't recall who it was. I was going to start my own VH frankenstein guitar project. Hopefully if he reads this he will chime in. :(
that would be me. you still want it?

first guitar: harmony strat style for $55...never played it tho.
first guitar (i actually played): kramer beretta...it was primer gray, broken headstock and the pup was so hot, it would feedback and make ANY amp squeal like underworld-banshees!
first bass: hondo. traded the harmony for it.
first bass amp: couple cheeseball peavey bass combos
first guitar amp: fender roc-pro 1000 - i used it for about 8-9 years of heavy gigging.

no clips, no pics...as usual. :D

first amp was a small fender practise amp and first guitar was a squire strat. took the guitar apart out of boredom.
